Hello Corvallis!
It’s another soggy day in the Willamette Valley. We met at The Vue today in Downtown Corvallis and I suppose the only bummer about the rainy weather is that it kept us from enjoying the view that The Vue is so well known for. Oh well… rain never dampens our spirits, because we know that it’s great for the gardens we all just planted. Right? Well if you didn’t then you should call Christine with Red Stem. She will make all your landscaping and gardening dreams come true. And if you’re hoping for another dream come true talk to Peg at Pathfinder Travel for a “Honeymoon better than Hawaii!” in the South Pacific.
Our President, Oni [Balance Point Acupuncture], reminded us that acupuncture can be very helpful for those pesky seasonal allergies. Linn County is the grass seed capitol of the world = allergies for everyone! Chris from Valley Eye Care was able to follow that with another reminder to go have your eyes checked if you suspect that allergies are not the culprit for your red, itchy, and sore eyes. Mary and Janelle were also up for piggy-backing to remind us that our sinuses are very close to the roots of our teeth. Don’t let infections in either location move around your body to cause more damage. Stop in to Drs. Bugni, Laster, and Jensen if your allergies are also causing tooth aches.
Amy [Carefree Massage] and Michelle B. [Arbonne International] want you to have a Girls Night IN! There’s nothing better for you and your best girlfriends than chair massages, foot soaks, and clean make up. Perhaps that girls night in needs some tasty platters and someone else to do the dishes. Let Forks & Corks take care of all the treats and clean up. Both Karen and Ilene had big THANK YOUs today. Karen from KidSpirit has summer camp registration open, and Girls On The Run is bursting at the seams. Ilene is still up to her ears in tax returns thanks to all the referrals she gets from PEERS.
We had a couple of guests today at PEERS. Lisa with Planning for Profit is a financial planner and analyst. And another Lisa who works with Kate at Forks & Cork Catering to manage events happening at The Vue. We are also SO GLAD to welcome back Nadine from the Gluten Free RN/RN On-Call!!! She’s been doing so much traveling and talking at conferences that we haven’t had her at a meeting for several months. Welcome back!
Our presentation time was traded out for a full tour of The Vue while Amanda and Lisa answered all our questions.
The Vue is located on the 5th & 6th floors of the Elements Bldg on 2nd Street in Downtown Corvallis.
